Who we are

We are the voice of the community. The locals born and raised, deeply connected to the rich Mexican and Latino culture that is woven into the fabric of this city. We honor the history and contributions of these communities. And we’re also the people who’ve come from all over the world to call this place home. San Diego is more than just a city—it’s a rich blend of cultures, backgrounds, and communities. From our strong connection to Mexico and the border that connects us, to the countless transplants who’ve made this place their own, we embrace the laid-back SoCal vibes of surfers, skaters, sunny days, and the vibrant lowrider culture that represents creativity and pride on four wheels, creating a unique mix that makes San Diego truly special. 

At the heart of the San Diego Independent Supporters Union (SDISU) is a shared love for our city and its teams. As an independent organization, we are driven by the passion and dedication of our members, standing apart from the club itself. Whether it's singing from the stands or supporting from our favorite local spots, we unite through the energy and pride that flows through our neighborhoods. We stand for more than just sports; we stand for the spirit of togetherness that defines San Diego. 

Our community is as diverse as the city itself—whether you're a long-time resident or someone who’s just fallen in love with the sunshine and culture, there's a place for you here. We’re the fans who pack stadiums, fill local breweries, and host watch parties with friends and family. We know the importance of supporting local businesses, especially the breweries that have become a cornerstone of our celebrations. And we take pride in the food that keeps us fueled, especially the best Mexican food in the country. 

But SDISU is about more than just game day. We believe in giving back to the communities that give us so much. Through charity work and community initiatives, we’re committed to making a positive impact on San Diego, supporting local causes, and lending a hand where it’s needed most.
